Hello -glad I found this forum!

Hello -this forum could be useful as my Mark 1 is getting a bit long in the tooth! I have found this car brilliant, no frills, practical and not a bad drive having a 1.8 petrol engine. Unfortunately one load plus trailer and a bumpy field has proved the death of the rear suspension -while trying to investigate the reasons and answers to this, I found you. I reckon the torsion bar is broken...:justno:

Hi Fairshot welcome to the forum sounds like you have a bit of a rebuild to do, plenty on the forum about axle rebuilds lately.
