2004 berlingo rear torsion bar making a noise

Hi Everyone

I have looked on the net to find a answer and I'm struggling...

When driving down the road and I go over a bump or speed bump there is a load twang from the rear... I'm an electrician so I have checked the back incase it was my ladders but it wasn't!
Then I jacked the rear passenger side up by the sill.
And as I went up the rear torsion bar trailing arm didn't move then it would release and twang. And it would do this a few times while jacking the van up...
And the same when lowering ...
Help me I don't m ow what to try ..

Try the spring,on the rear brake compensator. It was doing it on mine, greased it up, problem solved.

I've had a look at the spring has snapped ...
It makes this noise like the exhaust is banging when you drive it aswell.. ( but its not)

Does it sound like a cracking or creaking noise. cratch:
Try opening the back doors, stand on the edge and bounce.
You should be able to pin point the noise with someone's help. :thumbsup:

I've jumped on the back and nothing happened think Tomo I shall have another go.
But it just seemed like the torsion bar arm was stiff, and like it would try to move then all of a sudden release making the creaky sound

If the wheel suddenly releases/drops when you jack it up from the sill jack point it could be your swinging arm seizing up! illyme:

How do I repair this? If this is the case. I have sprayed some wd-40 earlier today .

If it is the swinging arm bearings then I would go for a recon'd back axle.
(worst case scenario).
