I don't have RF locking, but the connector is there.
To reduce wear on the barrels, I'd like to fit it. Quite possibly I can source a used controller but it's likely to not have transmitters. Aftermarket is not my cup of tea; have experienced too many irritations.
On Service Citroën the keyfobs are sold separately; it implies you need to specify a 5 digit code with additional P or S suffix when ordering. Would this be found also on the RF control box or the circuit board inside it?
I'm assuming it's not like a Xantia where you can code in any remote, as the immobiliser isn't in the same box.
Comments on transplanting alternatives would be interesting; I could probably implant a cut down version of the Xantia RF locking that ignored the immobiliser lines - but wondered if a non-deadlocking 406 controller might also work.
Thanks, Adam.
