LED load space lights
#1
In the process of fitting 4 LED rear load space lights.
2 have been fitted in the roof, and 2 will be fitted on the sides.
They are basically 12v LED marker lights and are available in orange and red, as well as the white ones I have fitted.
Three holes to drill for each light and a 12v feed taken from the rear interior light.
Simples...
Have also changed the bulbs in the front and rear interior lights to LED so they match.

Thanks, Andre.
Pictures don't really show well.
They just give out a "nice" light. Not too bright, just a pure white light. Must admit they look cool at night.Cool
Should look excellent when other 2 are installed.
Feel more pictures coming on...

Are the LED bulbs for the interior lights the same E bay items as the ones for the instrument display as detailed on your other posting???

Oi! Womble! No!
The very small capless are T5 (R286) 1.2w standard filament bulb.
Fit multi-function display, instrument panel, etc.
The bigger capless are T10 (R501) 5w standard filament bulb.
Fit interior lights, front side lights, rear number plate light.
These use less than 1w, but are much brighter than the equivalent 5w filament bulb. They should also last 20,000+ hrs!

Second pair of LED's installed now, above side door.
(Bought 4, so thought might as well fit 4. 2 would have been sufficient, but others would have sat gathering dust on a shelf.)
Pictures to follow.
It was an "illuminating" job.
As promised...
Certainly make it brighter.

Nice neat looking job there Martin.

Thought that as a radio amateur you would have had just a few wires dangling or cables bodged together with self-amalgamiting tape on show just for effect.....:lol::lol::lol::censored::censored::censored:

Just twisted the wires together and wrapped them in Sellotape.
You mean there's another way...?

And remember; "Don't cut the blue wire."

I use the cheaper stuff from Poundland for insultation porpoises, does the job. Not as neat and a lot less stickier.
Also good for mending spectacles A-La Jack-Duckworth...Hee Hee.

Best behave or the mods will be throwing us off for being silly...

Once again being nosey (tell me to .... off if you like), where did you get the LED light units from, thinking they may be useful in my caravan, a bit more light without putting more strain on the low-volt power supply.
