Mk 3 Horn Update

My horn eventually gave up the ghost and I posted a question on here. Tried the earthing the column to the chassis trick with no luck then tried to remove the airbag with no luck at all. Then decided to see if the wiring to the horn was dodgy so not possessing a lift I had to access the inspection panel under the near side front bumper by laying on the ground. Put my hand right in side and could just feel the horn but couldnt do anything else so no success. WRONG!!! Tried the horn later and it worked. I got the motor vehicle class at work to stick it on their lift and they had eventually to unbolt the horn as even they couldnt get the connection of with it in place. Turns out the connect has corrosion and I must have disturbed it enough to get it working. So if your Mk 3 horn stops working look here first before you atack the airbag.
