how slow is yours? mines does 50 easy enough, 60 i feel like im pushing it and 70 well, only been there once and the revs were at/over 3500rpm if memory serves, i know its only a 1.4 but i honestly think its slow and im gona break it.

It's not a racing car - the 1.4 is conservatively tuned, not massively high compression and pushing an object with the aerodynamics of a brick. If you want speed consider a GTi6 implant.

I think the problem stems back to its van roots. The gearing is very low. 5th gear is the same as 4th in an normal car, i.e. speed 2x rev counter, so it's working harder.

Have to say, I really like the sound of the alloy wet liner blocks.

ive got all the speed i need in my track car, i dont expect my 1.4 to be a rocket just to at least sit at 60mph without it appearing to struggle.

It sounds not unlike an early BX Valver or Mi16, just smaller! The note has more "chink" in it than the cast iron blocks.

Generally, one with a hint of forklift on the palate, and a strong raspberry finish.
