Oil Reservoir Cracked

Hi All
Just purchased my first Berlingo Van 55 plate. Bought it at the weekend and just realised the oil reservoir is cracked and leaking. Nothing major but obviously will need to fix it and was thinking of doing it myself. I'm an engineer but don't have much experience with vehicles. Can't really find any videos online but i'm told its relatively simple.
Drain the oil, take the reservoir off, replace the gasket and put on the new reservoir.
Sounds easy enough but would you advise and if so any idea where is a good place to order parts from??

What reservoir are you referring to, is it the power steering fluid/ brake fluid or engine sump thats cracked n leaking?

I think its the engine sump although im not 100%. Took it to a mechanic and he said that the sump box was leaking and it wasn't too major but would need fixed at some point. I would imanine that if it was the brake or steering fluid it would be a bit more urgent??

When I did the last service on mine (DW8) I noticed that the sump was quite rusty in one corner. I cleaned it up and painted it with Rust Eater but it is a concern.

I think I will go for it and fix it myself. The next issue is what sump do I go for. I have started looking online and there seems to be quite a lot of variants. How do I make sure I order the right part?? And is it advisable to replace the gasket and filter while I have it stripped down?

You will need to replace the sump gasket. Oil's expensive enough with out letting it escape!
