MOT today

put the Berlingo in for it's MOT this morning at my local Citroen dealer.
(It's only about 400 yards from my house)

Only had the one phone call so far - an advisory for the wipe blades because they are streaking - replacement £35. The kind offer was refused as I used the wipers this morning getting to the service dept & they didn't streak then !
The other advisory was two indicators that were indicating white instead of orange - got them to replace those & I will be interested to see what the charge is for that !

I must get this "Tattoo" with MUG removed from my forehead orperhaps get "Not a" added to it

It passed OK, with an advisory for 2 rear tyres at 3.0 mm, so they will be changed before the winter sets in

Glad it passed.Watch out for Lidl having wipers in.Mine are 16 months old & still as good as new.:thumbsup:

I get Bosch wipers off GSF via their eBay at about £6 each.

£35 fitted ain't bad, GSF want £30 for a pair of Mk3 blades & Halfords £36. They do seem to last ok though, mine are nearly 5yr old original blades, I clean them with meths every so often. I recall replacing blades on older cars every 2yrs or less but they did only cost a couple of quid each.

I checked the wiper blades today & could find no splits or wear on them. I used them in the wonderful drizzle we had today & they worked perfectly - but if the MOT tester said they are worn out, he must be right
