Stereo upgrade
#1
Hi All

Just thought I'd mention a big improvement I made to the standard car stereo in my Blingo Mk2 2.0 HDi. I had a reasonable Kenwood head unit from my previous car which I fitted and also changed the door speakers for some I bought at a local car audio shop. These made a difference but nothing worth writing here about. The thing that has really lifted the stereo into a pleasurable piece of kit is a subwoofer... not the sort that you hear shaking the plaster off the houses as it passes but this neat little gizmo from Pioneer http://www.pioneer.eu/uk/products/25/131.../page.html

The great thing is it fits in the rear footwell so its completely hidden when not in use. It has its own volume control so is optional but when it is turned up the sound expands beautifully and you realise how much is lost on a normal system. It means that you can have the music at a level that allows conversation but is still substantial enough to enjoy if you know what I mean.

Its been well worth the cost already and makes long journeys a lot more fun.

Cheers all
Keep on Blingin'

Giles

Where do you run the power from with this? And do you just connect this to your rear speaker cable?

I've a similar thing in our multispace, fitted under the front seat. It won't blow the windows out but gives the sound a nice punch.
