MPG indicator
#1
Hi all, had the car for a few weeks now and really enjoying it. One thing I find puzzling though is the button on the end of the stalk that gives you MPG etc, one of the settings seems to give all different mpg's, constantly changing when I'm driving. What's it for? Ta for any replies.

Don't have my Berlingo yet but sounds like the same feature on my Skoda - what you describe sounds like the real time read out which varies wildly. There's another that just gives the average which varies by smaller, less regular increments.

Yep! The rapidly changing read-out is real time consumption
(Take your foot off the throttle downhill and watch it go to 999!!)
The other is average MPG for that trip.
Reset by holding the button in for a few seconds.
If you go on a long (or short) trip rest before you set out and
you'll be able to see your trip average constantly monitored.
I have a Mk.2 1.6TDi and I am assuming that not much has changed for later models.
The Older I get the Better I Was!  Cool
