Lack of vacuum to turbo 1.6 HDI

Hi, been having trouble with turbo boost. I have checked the turbo itself and that seems fine. Also put a vacuum pump on the actuator and that seems fine. Then tried the vacuum pump on the pipe going to the actuator with the engine off, applied vacuum.....nothing. Started the engine with the pump still attached.... And still nothing. Pumped up vacuum and it disappeared straight away. Is this a leaking vacuum pipe or is the're a solenoid or a regulator anywhere that I don't know about. Thanks in advance.

Difficult to grasp where you are testing the pipe, as they vary according to Turbo type .
Basically there is a vacuum solenoid at the back of the engine above the longest driveshaft, it is usually brown in colour.

SOLVED!!! Exactly that mate. Got a vacuum control solenoid from the scrappy for a tenner and the van drives like new. Brilliant.
