twang from front

when i apply a lot of lock to the steering i get a twang noise (just the once), it coming from the spring/shock area, recently passed its mot so everything should be ok, but is sounds like metal under tention but i dont know what. cratch:

Sounds like the front springs not seated properly or the bottom/top coil of the spring broken ?

You have got to look right up into the top of the suspension and even then its not always obvious, try a feel instead.

turned out the top mount bearing was gone, all good now
