Mismatched BSI unit reset

Hello everyone,

I have some Minot issues like interior lights and central locking not working. Interior lock button is intermittent. Airbag light no testing. No alarm working.

From the advice to others on here a BSI reset could be an option. My one worry is though is I think my unit is mismatched . I have replaced the original radio with my own but that did the annoying beep when installed previously.

Lights work, horn etc and most importantly it runs very well. Idles a little high perhaps but I will save that for another topic.


Could I get myself into trouble resetting the BSI. I don't want for a small few niggles fix, create a much bigger problem.

Have you disconnected the battery recently. That's normally the time a BSI reset is required. You should be OK doing the reset. It only ensures the various computers in the Bingo initialise correctly. It doesn't make any permanent changes AFAIK.

Is where you should start having had the ignition switched off for5 minutes.
