1.9 d 04 plate idles at 1100 rpm
#1
Dear experts

I have a 1.9 berlingo and it runs well. But I wonder if it is idling a little high at 1100.

Any tips of things to check or should I be happy with it. Fuels ok in usage I think around late 30 to early 40 mpg. Most quite short town like outlines recently. It did a half decent round trip of 40 miles and I could see it became a little more efficient.

Thanks for any help.

I had a similar problem. It turned out that the fast idle mechanism wasn't working and someone had adjusted it to be at fast idle permanently. I bought a new fast idle mechanism from ebay (I think) and fitted it and all is well now.
