My 2003 1.9d non turbo Berli van (is this the DW8?) has started to smoke badly and has no power. Its done 90k. I have recently changed the oil & filter. Put 5-30 fully synthetic long life oil in. It was running fine untill the other day when it struggled to pull up a hill, looking in the mirror it was pouring smoke from the exhaust. I got home and stripped and cleaned the EGR valve, intake etc. No change so replaced the fuel & air filters, no change. The smoke smells like parrafin, unburnt fuel I guess. Its now at a local garage where they think it could be the crank sensor. Anyone had a similar issue?? :brickwall:
