Radiator Fan Running.
#1
Strange occurence the other day on my Blingo, 6 months/5000 miles old.
Pulled up at home after approx 8 mile trip (one of several that morning), turned off ignition, stepped out and heard rad fan running at full speed. Temp gauge normal and journey had not been fast or arduous. Left it for five minutes but still running: radiator and hoses were cool.
Fearing a flat battery I started to panic a little so re-started the engine to see what would happen. Result: fan stopped immediately and has apparently behaved normally ever since.
Gremlins or what?

Yes, the fan can still run after switching off engine, if engine is hot enough for fan to start up then coolant can actually increase in temp once engine is switched off so fan will run for a bit after you switch off engine.

also if its doing a regeneration of the fap it will run on after for a while (not sure why just know they do)

but as said its perfectly normal for this to happen Smile
