Ipod in stock usb socket

Hello,

New to the forum and i have a new Berlingo since yesterday. So ofcourse i tried out the usb socket (which is the stock accesory u can get installed).
Now it works just fine, no problem with the connection or anything, however i can't seem to get it to shuffle songs even though shuffle is on. Putting my ipod on shuffle doesn't work. Since it's a general usb, i can't even access my ipod while it's connected. i tried selecting a song while unplugged press play, plug it back in but the damn system resets it and goes back from A to B etc. And as u will all agree, it'd like plug it in and hear random songs, and not always from the beginning

Anybody has the same experience and/or solution?

P.S. it's an Ipod Classic i'm using

I don't know which stereo is in your car, but generally, selecting song, playlist or how to pick the next song is generally controlled on the stereo itself, not on the iPod.

BTW: I'm using an iPod Classic 120GB with my Pioneer DEH-P7100bt stereo, connected using an IB100 interface on the IP-bus. But it works the same if I use the USB-connector also found on the same stereo.
