Seatbelts / parts advice...
#1
Hi guys

Been away from the forum for a bit (thought - think I used to be JamesF, which would explain why my name above didn't work! DOH!!) - the Berlingo has just been too reliable to need any help with! Brilliant family vehicle Big Grin

However, the dog decided he'd try to taste the rear seat belts last night so I am now in need of some assistance...

Where's the easiest / best / cheapest place to source something a pair of rear seatbelts? Tried eBay, no good. Any supplier of discounted Citroen parts?

Cheers, James

Obviously those of a PArtner will fit too, but maybe a wider selection of vehicles will

I believe replacements made of canine leather will pass an MOT. Wink

Ah bless him he must of been starving or lonely lol. My sisters dog decided to trash the handbrake grip on her 2 day old Nissan juke a while ago. Oh how I laughed.
Have you tried http://www.breakerlink.com and sites similar may be worth a try.
Are we there yet????? Huh

Cheers 'ntm' - ours is a collie and we do have a cage, and I suspect the two will be seeing a lot more of each other in the future...

I'll try ebay again, maybe I did the wrong search as I failed to turn anything up yesterday. I have had word back via 247 spares - £40 for one belt, going to have a look at the car in stock and see if they have the other bits.

Because ours is an 'early' B9 'lingo (autumn 2008) there is the crossover period to consider too - need to make sure we don't the wrong parts!

Will update as I now more myself...

Pretty girl! Keep her in a cage! ;-)

No, nothing to hand - and can't remember how to load up photos either!

Back on topic - I'm drawing blanks all over the place here. New parts come to £377! The nsr belt = £120, the centre = £210; the window surround £47. Couple of hours to fit, maybe....

I may have to go down the insurance claim route - I've asked them as to procedure and so on. Never made a claim in my life. Luckily we have protected ncb, but it'll be one life lost if we do claim. But we need seatbelts of course...

In the meantime, I've sent off loads of requests to breaker websites (247spares, etc) and fingers crossed someone will have something suitable in stock. I did visit a yard this morning, Peugeot. They had a car in stock, but the belts were no good Sad They did have a nice set of 16" 6-spoke alloy wheels going for £140 which was tempting, but thought I might end up in the dog house myself if went back with those rather than the 'belts! :-)
