63 plate chiller van

well the old girl got out of warranty without costing Citroen any money, lucky beggars, so we are now ordering our next van, a Citroen Berlingo 6 Speed EGS gearbox (semi-auto), BlueHdi 100

it's a factory order so no doubt it'll be MONTHS... but also needs to have the chiller conversion AND sign writing

the mileage is 102,000mls atm and no doubt that'll be a lot higher by the time I pass this van onto our other driver, She can't wait as she's stuck in transit connect hell atm haha

what sort of options should I be looking to add, I'm adding rear parking sensors and the connecting box options, am I going to want anything else?

I think you get cruise control as standard with the auto - worth checking though.

The hill holder's also useful - again, it should hopefully be standard with the auto.

The auto wipers and headlights option I got on my Multispace is lovely. It came as a pack, together with auto climate control. I don't know whether such things are available with the van. Do you have cabin air con as well as the chilled back?

I have the Air Con button, but sadly the guts are removed to fit our massive compressor onto the engine, the auto does have the hill holding and the Cruise Control (we added CC on the last one after 6 months) and I find the auto wipers either wipe too much or not enough for me, our vans get well waxed and polished so the rain at speed whips straight off the glass, I only use wipers going slow or when the vans dirty

what I now need to know is, how much faster/slower is the BlueHDi100 6 speed auto compared to my 5 speed wiggle stick 90ps (63 plate) as I'm surprised even with chiller running it beat a youth in a 2.0tdi audi away from some light he wasn't happy

Regardless of BHP, I find it changes gears a bit (but not a lot) quicker than most drivers do in a manual.  So I regularly nip away from various cars while they're fumbling about with pedals and waggling stuff about, even with my mere 90bhp.  You see them pull ahead, then they drop back but you keep going.

We both took our left shoe off for the first week, to train ourselves not to stomp on the imaginary clutch.  As the brake pedal's pretty wide you'll do an emergency stop if you do.

Now, after driving only this for a year, I have to drive a manual courtesy car when it goes for its service.  Not looking forward to it.

I've always been good at switch between manual and auto, my retro Honda Concerto is an Auto so all good there, I'm looking forward to it now, just got to wait to order it now as the board have given it the green light

well we are about to order the new van, the boss wanted to wait as this van has been so good, it's now on 127,000mls and going well, what should i look out for with the 100autos and have they sorted the issues with the stereos turning off?
