59 plate multispace xtr
#1
Having just purchased my first multispace to be used as a mobility vehicle.
I bought it from a dealer of eBay and although higher mileage it really is in great shape! except for the dreaded clonking knocking noise coming from what sounds like the N/s/f. I have now taken it to 2 different garages, and both have replaced parts with no joy. Top suspension leg bearings and a kind of plate, drop link, bottom ball joint, wishbone and bushes, anti roll bar bushes, I think that's it but now no body seems to know where to go from now.
The clonking only happens on a bumpy road. I noticed whilst going slowly over speed ramps that the clonk seems to be when the wheels are coming of the ramp and not when it hits it. After reading loads of different articles regarding this problem I am now going to ask the garage to take a look at the subframe mounting bushes and engine mounts?? Any other suggestions would be great as I'm now pulling my hair out.

Did you read the post about knocking suspension , 34 pages of it . Try a search for suspension noise.

There are far to many posts to detail here. It might give you a clue!
Good luck .
