Hi All,
Only have the Berlingo a day or 2 and have backache - not normally susceptible to this!. Have adjusted the seating this way & that and still uncomfortable. I don't see this mentioned anywhere so maybe it is just me. I have ordered a JML Sit Right backrest as I have read some good reviews on Amazon.
Coincidently(?), I saw a Berlingo on my first day out in a car park and the driver had one of these installed
Anyone else had this issue?
Previous owned Escort Mk1, Mk2 (backache), Atos & Primera.
On a related note I may be getting this from the clutch pressure. Is there any way it can be adjusted (by a garage) to lessen the pressure I get coming up my leg and into my back? -which could explain matters.
Thanks in advance for your views.

Hi Brendon
I certainly found that the driving position takes some getting used to and to find a comfortable seat setting. I did find that eventually I was ok and can do long trips without any backache

If everything seems to be going well, you have obviously overlooked something.

I get backache over long distances in mine, although my back is not 100% anyway.
I find there is insufficieny lumbar support, in addition my seat base has degraded, and use a piece of foam to give me a bit of support where it's missing

I got a seat support as mentioned earlier but it made no difference.I am hobbling along like an old man after 30 mins driving!
Convinced now it is a heavy clutch giving me ache up my leg to lumbar area. I have pushed back seat to it's furthest extent and whilst I am no at ease with this it does seem to easy the back ache.

I find the seats very soft and unforgiving, my driver seat is prone to adjusting itself so I have to keep tweaking it every now and then, must be a lot of give in it. I am also hobbling round like an old codger , but thats probably cause I am one.

You must all be southern fairys, I drive 165 mile to work on a monday and get out fresh as a daisy, I could easily double the distance with no problem.

Comfortable driving position is one of the reasons that I keep going back to Berlingos. I am a relative shortarse, maybe I fit better than some do.
Agree about the heavy clutch, Mk3 much better in that respect.
And I'd like somewhere more comfortable to park my right elbow, left elbow sits nicely on (comfort pack) armrest.
Yes, I know, I should be holding the steering correctly with both hands at 10 to 2, whatever ..
