2.0hdi glow plug location
#1
Hi my 2006 2.0hdi partner is getting harder to start and is chugging in 4th and 5th gears. Does anyone know why this is if it's the glow plugs etc? If so where are they located as I can't find them.

Thanks

Chugging in higher gears is not related to glowplugs on the 2.0 hdi.

The HDi engines hardly use the glowplugs. They are on the front of the head, joined together by the thick wire. But don't suspect them at this time. Suggest you may have air in the fuel system. Had this before with a non turbo diesel. B*gger to start, but when running was OK. Was pulling in air before fuel filter. When left overnight, fuel would drop back to tank.

Yea it's normally when left overnight it's hard to start in morning. Think this explains chugging in higher gears?
