Does anyone know if it is possible to remove the (up and over) rear door on the mk 1 and fit the rear van doors? I am fed up of giving myself bangs on my head. Thanks.

I don't think it's a bolt-on exercise, as the door wiring comes out at different points and the vans have no apparent mounting aspects to suit an upward hinged door. That said, it might not be too hard if you're creative and have a scrapped van to pull bits off.

I'm 6' and I've clunked my noggin a few times. Not everyone is blessed with dwarfism Ol'Jeffers
I've a van as well and much prefer those doors, not just for the lack of noggin clunking but they're easier to close.

I've clunked my noggin a few times, too...
(6'1" tall on a good day)
I find it a small price to pay for something to stand under when loading/unloading the car on a rainy day...
