Hi All
I'm looking to buy a 2007 berlingo petrol 1.4. 41000 miles. Any bad experiences? Thanks.

1.4 isn't that bad for a run around, but will feel any extra weight, ie more than 2 up. fuel will be about 33 - 36mpg overall in my experience. to me an absolute brilliant car for what it is. the 1.4 should be alot cheaper to buy than derv models, possibly up to £1000+ less to buy but interestingly the 1.6 petrol (but more to tax)is better on fuel than 1.4. Shop around as there are lots about, many being exmobility cars with low low miles and are very good value. I have a 2006 1.4, bought 2 years ago with 11k on clock, now done 28k and have not had any problems. Good luck

I got a 1.4 (2002), it's quick enough for what I want and as I only really use it for the odd weekend away to go cycling, I didn't feel it was necessary to get a diesel. On long motorway journeys, and country roads etc. I can get over 40mpg out of it, so for my limited use and mileage it's worked out better value than the diesel.
Not had any problems with it yet and the parts seem really cheap if anything were to go wrong with it.
I can't recommend one highly enough.
