dash/bsi fault ??

MK1 2000 19d, dash playing up, ing-on dash lights flash on/off with low fuel light no speedo or rev/count with 1/4 tank, if filled to 1/2 tank mark flashing stops but no rev/count or temp gauge........BSI ? cleaned every contact on loom i can find to no avail, anyone with the same problem and cured it ? ....update, after going to van in the dark noted door open icon with a feeble glow seems like a earth fault but all earth connections good......

update, checked earth points as mentioned they were coroded with verdigre cleaned did bsi reset, fault still present, bsi now suspect
