As a member of the AA (the automobile, not alcoholic organization), they have sent me an email with an offer on a solar charger.
I have seen similar before that connect directly to the vehicle battery to trickle charge whilst parked for extended periods.
However, this particular one connects DIRECTLY to the OBD socket inside the vehicle.
This brought up 2 concerns.
1. I didn't realise that you could charge the battery via the OBD.
2. Knowing the fragility of French electrics, is it a good idea to do this on a Berlingo.
With this item being sold through a well known and trusted company like the Automobile Association it must be ok? Mustn't it? cratch:
