Berlingo MkII 2.0hdi. What are they like? Any reviews?
#1
I fancied a Berlingo for years. I always liked the look of the MkII Desire 1.6hdi with air con and Modutop. So when I got the chance I sold a perfectly good Skoda Roomster (apart from the heater) and bought a MkIII.:S Don't ask me why, maybe I thought newer is better. Anyway after 3k gentle mileage the turbo has blown. Lucky for me its under warranty. However it's scared me off now. I'm debating whether to sell it on and get a 2.0hdi MkII. I know Lighty and others have said as long as the turbo feed filter is removed it should be ok. So what about the MkII is it ok? Is the 2.0hdi better than the 1.6, whats the difference between them?
Dave.

08 Citroen Berlingo MkIII 1.6 hdi Vtr 90. It's gone. 'Twas a bad'un.

Yes I am an angry old fart.

well we bought our 2.0hdi in 2003 (flo)and we run 2 cars and has seen off reanult laguna 150bhp, 2003 golf sport 130bhp.2003 vw passat 130bhp 2008vw touran 1.4tsi 140bhp volvo v70. long trips were always the berlingo south of france etc. we have bought a new mk 3 egs 1.6 in 2012 and it may be time to get rid of the flo. only because we need more space which the mk3 has.the second car is now a miniclubvan.
