Colour coding MK1
#1
Hey guys, a few questions

I have an X reg Berlingo, I want to colour code the bumpers so it's all matching white. Has this been done before? Not sure if it will look good.

Also, will I need a special flexible-plastic paint?

Now I know my van is single stage paint (no lacquer) will the bumper look a lot different if I finish it with a lacquer over the base?

It will look a lot shinier.Solid white doesn't usually polish up to a good shine.Confusedalut:

Often the plain bumpers are a wholly different plastic. You'll need an adhesion promoting primer and a super thorough pre-clean as most bumpers will have been treated with silicone type dressings at some stage -these must be removed 110%.

Solid white 2K will give a respectable gloss off the gun.

I did think about full white not as it is now but I reckon it'd be too much, back bumper is black for the same reason.

I treated the old girl to new bumpers as the old ones were a bit shabby (from previous owner)

I've never worked with 2k paint.. will normal spray paint and lacquer be flexible enough for a bumper?

That's a fine example  Can I ask what wheels they are?
