crazy mpg

As I posted previously, the Government/DVLA figures for a 1.9d are 32, 49, 41 for urban, extra and combined.
And those are under 'ideal' conditions.

To Mr. Noel 'Economy' Brig, I can't get near your MPG figures. Confusedillyme:
As you can see from my 'Fuelly' I have averaged 46 MPG for a while now.

don't go above 50, don't have it in gear unless you are accelerating / driving or are wishing to slow down, and keep the tyre pressures as high as you are allowed to. (don't go over vehicle specs as that would be dangerous)

Gives a good short term saving but in the long run, could be a false economy if the slow driving buggers up the engine.

And you can reduce my 57.2mpg by 1.7% to 56.2mpg to allow for the inaccuracies of the tyres. Also mine don't have the dreaded DieselParticulate(lets save the planet)Filter. (which would definitely not allow for eco driving)

Don't forget the on board computer is a compulsive liar, tank to tank calculations are far more accurate and realistic.

Don't have one of those on my van, but the one on my wifes car is very accurate (as you would expect from the Germans)
