Hi all
On 2 occasions my fuel light has come on indicating low on fuel and as we all know when light comes on you usually have a few miles still before it conks out, with my Van, when the light comes on i only have less than quarter of a mile so if no station near by i am walking.
I have had this problem with the fuel gauge ever since i have had the Van but now i think its time to repair the problem as when on my way to work the van chugged along then died on me but the fuel gauge was showing quarter tank.
Bought Canister full of diesel but did not put in, just left van near work then came back next morning, primed to see 2 inch of air in clear line go to filter and back when depressed, I added fuel to van waited a while, van starts showing still quarter tank.
I really don't want to mess around and just want to change the sender unit myself and get Mech to bleed fuel system.
1. Access to Fuel Sender Unit ?
2. How easy to drop Tank if necessary?
3. Does the tank need to be empty when fitting new sender unit?
Pictures welcome
