You'll need to probe the wire back. It runs under the scuff plate on the passenger front door, then up the left side of the dash into a cable tray.

Yes, get yourself one of the cheap piercing probe test lights with a proper bulb (not LED) in it. You should have change from a fiver.

Start at the bulb socket, make sure it isn't just a rubbish connection, then identify which wire it is in the brown multiway plug on the back of the light. Look for the numerical code painted on the wire, it may change colour over its length but the code will be the same. Find the same wire under the passenger door scuff plate (sill trim) and check it there - I'd suspect you have an issue between the A pillar and the rear wheelarch due to either a bad interconnect or corroded wiring.

Hes had over ten years to fix the fault , probably sold it on now.

Are the correct bulbs fitted . Some are offset pins but normal pin bulbs can be fitted/jammed in.

The hazard light switch can play up if its not used for a while , work the switch on and off a few times to clean the inside contacts.

it was working fine i was indicating at a junction it was working fine and after about 1minute waiting to turn it just started going fast like a bulb had blown, so when i got home noticed the rear passenger side stopped working, i checked the bulb and stuck a multimeter on the bulb holder and no voltage, i took the brown 6 pin connector out the back stuck the probe onto the ground and pink indicator wire still no voltage, its just like its gave up the ghost, im currently half way pulling the trims and carpets up to locate the wire to test for continuitiy, going to pull wire from BSI and see if its continuous if not i need to locate where the fault has happened

Did you get to the bottom of this problem, I have exactly the same symptoms. Fault codes suggest short to ground, but also some indication of issues with the other LH rear lights like short to positive. Would be good to know if you discovered a location for possible rear loom damage, or if BSI was at fault?

What year and model of Berlingo? Have you got any other faults apart from the LH rear lights?
