I mix it one third by volume, you must bleed up the system with engine at cold idle - look for bleed points where the heater hoses enter your bulkhead, also a 5mm internal hex head bleed screw near the thermostat housing (do not overtighten!) and at the top of your left side radiator header tank (usually).

Stop bleeding when the flow is free of noticeable air bubbles, working from the lowest bleed screw to the highest. Keep the header tank topped up as you do this. Rinse off spilled coolant immediately with warm water and a little proper car washing detergent in solution.

I agree with Addo(for once) but I always mix 50/50.Confusedalut:

yes 50/50 as antifreeze contains a corrosion inhibitor but needs 50% to work.

Drain and flush the system with fresh water - find the total coolant capacity and halve it - ad neat antifreeze to 50% and top up with water - bleed system bingo

The one I use here, states on their own label that it's OK to use at 1/3 by proportion. It's an old school ethylene glycol type.

Addo, as far as i know my 1.6hDi has only 1 bleed screw on the bulkhead and no bleed screw at the thermostat housing. The thermostat and housing is 1 part.

The amount of water too add determines the temperatures of the freezing point. I also use 50%.

50% also allows tolerance to the odd water top up
