Underseat Sub

I fancy adding a small slimline sub with built in amp and just want a few opinions regarding the installation.

This is the sort of unit I am after:

Subwoofer

It's only 150w and looking at feeding direct from the battery looks a real pain to get through the firewall. I don't use the front cig lighter as there's a seperate 12v socket next to it.

I have an aftermarket headunit - Pioneer DEH-4300UB which has the subwoofer outputs.

What's the view on using the cig lighter feed?

You need a dedicated feed. I have a similar sub in mine.

Is there any reason for needing a dedicated feed Steve?
