Basic running stuff i would say ie are the brakes ok, all light bulbs working, washer fluid, battery charged, fuel and air filter ok?
And then you could look at some winter specific things eg spade and some grit in the boot, warm coat/clothes, headtorch.

Is it a packing list or a checklist?

I would get a minor service done. Oil and filter. Check all other fluids.
Maybe a battery test too.
