Clutch biting point

I had a look at my mates berlingo the other evening as he is having issues getting it into any gear appart from 3rd. The cluthch biting point seems to be right at the bottom of the pedal. I am thinking that the clutch cable has stretched, am i right in thinking this??

You don't say which model, but assuming it is a cable operated clutch, then I would
start at the pedal and check everything between there and the actuating lever!
If you need to replace the cable be aware that there are a couple of different lengths.

With a biting point that low the clutch will be dragging.As described above,it seem an adjustment problem rather than wear.Confusedalut:
