Converting crew cab to two seater van

Hi All
I have a crew cab mk2 and want to remove the seats and have it as just a two seater van. The problem is that when I remove the seats there will be a gap where the foot well is and I want to fill it. Has anyone done this conversion and if so what did you fill the foot well space with?

Can you not make a wooden box to fill the space.If you made the top removable it would give you extra storage space.:thumbsup:
