which alternator?

the alternator on my 05 berlingo, non turbo went today, been on euro car parts and there are several available, ranging from £90 upto over £200.

the cheapest one puts out 70 amps, is this enough?

What is the output of your's go from there have you entered your reg or vin number

will have a look in the morning, im guessing there's a label on the alternator. will update in the morning.

just thought i'de update this. i went for what i think was the lowest output alternator (70 or 75amp i think) on euro car parts and got it fitted without getting it checked. 3 month on and its still running.

Ever watched the YT vids on Valeo alternator repairs with the Irishman? Highly recommended for the tightarses among us.

never even thought of repairing it, just wanted it fixed quick. will keep the vids in mind if i ever need another alternator.
