I'm not entirely sure what the van was supposed to do. Judging by (a) the wake, and (b) that the guy had time to swing his carrier and hit, the van couldn't have been going that fast, and it was a decent distance away. The wake barely made it half way up his wellies -it looks like he got wetter from all his splashing about!
