Water in fuse box/BSI
#1
Had water in fuse box flashing lights on dash and engine will turn over but not start, removed fuse box and dried out but still flashing lights on dash and no start, Do i have to go through the reset BSI process ? I need to find the leak as this happens everytime we have some rain it usually dries itself out and starts again after 4 or 5 days

There are a lot of posts about this problem,

First thing to do is check that the scuttle area under the windscreen is clear of leaves etc., and nothing blocking the drains in there.

I'm off tomorrow so i'm going to strip it down and have a look round. I believe theres a hole behind the drivers side wheel arch that is a common fault on berlingo's as well as scuttle area and windscreen seal. Theres a piece of material (Similar to the carpet in footwells) on thecentre of the bulkhead just under the skuttle that is soaking wet, so i think that will be my first port of call, could be a long day

Found the hole behind the wheel arch and have filled it with sealant ( This is promising as it is directly behind fuse box) siliconed round windscreen, todays task is to remove material on bulkhead and replace it with something waterproof, hopefully one of these will solve the problem
