BSM / PSF1 Latching Fault
#1
OK, I've come in at the tailend of this.

2008 van won't start; it arrived at the poor garage with an intermittent/failed cabin fan and progressed to not cranking - not even a click. After two weeks they ran up the white flag and called me (any port in a storm, eh?).

Scanned it up today and there's no power to the engine ECU, so no dialogue from there or the ESP module. No faults of significance in the BSI/log but there's a permanent fault in the engine relay panel, it says there's a latching fault - I presume this is why it's not powering up the ECU.

Has anyone crossed this before? I note the part has been quietly superseded in typical PSA style. Gut feeling is the main relay board (PSF1) but I'm not 100%. None available used, new is $300 here.

Informed commentary welcome!

Thanks, Adam.

Anyone? Lighty?

The PSF1 / BSM seems to be not at fault, as I tried it in another van which ran fine.

When I look at the key position in parameters, and turn it to start, it says "undefined". Is that a clue?
