Pattern parts / Running Problems
#1
Just a rant really ! I have had a running issue with my 2005 hdi berlingo ,
i have posted many threads about the hesitating at @50 mph ,
after new crank , camhaft and temp sensors , a genuine air flow metre ,
i still had the problem ! I brought a pattern egr valve after seeing black smoke markings
around the slots in the top of the old one , this still made no difference !
Last week after i had serviced it i could hear a hissing noise it was coming from
the new egr valve after taking it off it had failed !
So i bite the bullet and brought a genuine egr valve , fitted it yesterday , we have done
about 60 miles today and it runs like a dream no hesitation at 50 and pull better
than it ever has in the 14 months of owning it !
so i am never going to waste my time with pattern parts in future !!!!!!!

Sorry about your probs but the old maxim "you get what you pay for" is my thinking when buying. My aim is to get discount on genuine oe,ie Purolator & other filters come in your Citroen box but find a factor who is an agent & get a better price.:thumbsup:Use the web.Confusedalut:

Yes i know what you mean , but sometimes you dont know if the part is going to solve the problem ! The air mass meter cost me a fortune and it wasnt the problem ! But on the plus side a fellow berlingo owner got a used working item !
