Intermittent remote central locking
#1
Hi,
I need to fix this and I'm going mad :brickwall:
I own a 2002 MK1 HDI, ex British gas van.
The remote central locking is intermittent. It sometimes work in covered car parks but doesn't work in the open very often.
The interior light lets in water in heavy rain which I need to sort and the aerial has a few marks and chips in it.
Would this stop the locking from working? I.e is the remote central locking signal received through the aerial?

Please help, thanks.

The remote work's through a receiver in the van not the aerial this could be getting damp also there mite be water making BSI damp so stopping the water and cecking the remote batterie should be the first things to do
