Hi guys new to lingos so please bear with me. Bought a 2.0hdi 04 model last week but the washers are not working back and front. Checked fuse f14 ok but noticed no power going to fuse holder when stoke is pulled forward and a multimeter is connected to terminals in fuse box. Which I thought would show 12v then the power would go to the washer pump a squirt water. What am I missing here if power was going to fuse I could understand that the pump is knackered but like I said no power to fuse. is the stalk on the steering wheel caput. The wipers work back and front just no water. Thanks for any help. Deano.

The same pump is used for both front and rear. The difference is that you reverse the pump motor via the relays.
Get some one to to operate the wash for the rear wiper (without engine running) and listen to see if you can hear the relay clicking in the engine bay fuse box. If it is check the pump connections under the wheel arch. You will have to remove the plastic lining.

No warning lights anywhere just the washers. I am not really this clueless with cars but this one has stumped me. I know what you mean about power to fuse box. I will study your diagram and have another look tomozz. cheers buddy.

Hi Gerard its probably the washer pump packed up, check the fuse first. Check with the engine off and press the switch can you hear it working. Check pipe work in case its blocked as well. The pump is situated in the bottom of the washer bottle in the offside front wing. To get at it you need to remove the wheel and wing liner. There are threads on here just have a search.
Are we there yet?????
