Cheers guys, fitted the new com2000 over the weekend and have all my indicators etc back to as new working condition.
One thing that happens now though is the horn only works when the ignition is off, start the engine and it works only now and again. Anyone know a fix?

Huge thanks to Andre for the "how to get to the Com 2000", that in conjunction with Haynes and the unit is out! ... damn tricky spring thing to release!
Hopefully my problem is the Com 2000 unit?
Faults -
right indicator blinks 2/3 times then dipped beam comes on and indicator stops.
right indicator works fine with the sidelights or main beam on ...
however, two days ago Full Beam came on of it's own accord and would not turn off not even after the key had been removed and the car locked ... so I disconnected the battery.
Don't know if this is related to the above, but a year ago my fuel gauge stopped working:
The gauge showed 'quarter full', but I ran out of fuel.
From that point on over the course of a week the needle sank lower and lower until it came to rest on empty, where it's been ever since.
It's a slight pain in the ass, I just need to make sure I fill up every 300 miles to be on the safe side.
Hopefully I am doing the right thing in replacing the Com 2000 to get indicators & lights working.
What about the fuel gauge problem?
Any hints, tips, etc greatly appreciated.
Ought to add to the above:

I'd suggest you see it working 100% on a donor vehicle, otherwise no dice.

it seems it doesn't have to be out of another berlingo, I bought one from a scrapyard that was on a Peugeot 307 with very low miles and it works perfectly it looked exactly the same and the only difference is the noise that comes out the speaker on it(lights on alarm etc) new one sounds better and less annoying
one thing to watch out for if you have a multispace you can not use one from a van as it doesn't have the option for rear wiper or rear wash
