We seem to be getting some rather odd posts from new members (hallsmith and Micalcriss). They're vaguely relevant to the subject, but make very little sense and add nowt. It seems like a lot of pointless effort on their part though. Would I be being hasty in suggesting some blocking might be in order, or am I just jumping to unfair conclusions?

I have zapped hallsmith as his signature contained a link that leaves me with some explaining to do to our IT department
Micalcriss also has an advertising link so I am watching to see he turns out to be spamming. His lack of crap jokes and obvious old fart-ness makes me suspicious.

I like Spam, Chris.
Thinnly sliced and gently fried in butter. Mmm.
Think its low in calories and helps you lose weight.
No, sorry, that's celery. My mistake.:brickwall:

Yup, I reported the hallsmith ones too. Just looked and micalcriss is IMO 100% a link spammer too, fits the exact same pattern. A couple lines (never more) of nonsensical but vaguely relevant text and a dodgy looking link (which I won't open at work) trying to look inconspicuous in the sig. And posting to that exact pattern across about five topics, as their first ever contribution. Deffo one for a dip in batter and a visit to the deep fat frier IMO :-)

Thanks Pete, macalcriss has been fed to the fishes (the only use for spam in my opinion)

"Talking through one's arse is where it is at":lol::lol::lol:
Prefer using luncheon meat or better still bacon grill, stays on the hook better, and what finer use of a Berlingo than to load it up with tackle and go fishing for a few hours!!!
Thanks to all the moderators and everyone else for due diligence in keeping us free from these people...

I love this forum; spammers to fishing in less than 10 posts!
