losing power at 2000 revs

Hi there im losing power around two 2000 revs its like the car is coughing and wont go any faster almost like a limiter its a citroen berlingo 1.9dhdi 2002, i have changed the air flow mass sensor and have been told the turbo is fine, dont really know where to go from here as i dont know much about these vehicles any suggestions would be a great help many thanks mike.

If it´s a 1.9 then it won´t be an HDI, so won´t have a turbo.

I had the same problem last Tuesday. The car had gone into "limp home" mode, and I had fault P0402 logged in the ECU. I cleared the fault and the car went back to normal.

If yours is the same, there could be any number of reasons that your car has gone into "limp home" mode, so it might be an idea to get it checked out by someone with the correct diagnostic kit.
