Should i have central locking

Hi
my 2001 berlingo 1.9 forte,has a/c, keep fit windows.but wondered should it have central locking.my daughters 98 is poverty spec but has cent locking.its a pain the butt trying to load the dogs in and manually unlock.anyway of finding out if it should have or retro fit.

Have a look and see whether the harness is in the doors.

If it has central locking, all the doors should lock when you lock door from inside. If you do not have the key with the locking switch on you would have to get one which ain't cheap.

I have a 2003 and it doesn't have a locking switch key, however it does lock itself when the front doors are locked by turning the key.

My 1999 had remote locking until an accidental 40degree(Celsius) cotton cycle, rinse and dryer run...
Did get all the old dirt and grime off, though... ;-)

Going to whip the door card off.still cant work out why radio lights up when drivers door is opened.if i dont swirch radio off when i get out it stays on for about 2 mins.

Radio has been wired wrongly. The two "live" wires need switching round in the connector. Do a search there are plenty of stereo threads...

Took radio out and wires already swapped.
