My original Primacys went like that after about 2yrs. I complained to Citroen & also sent photographic evidence to Michelin who did reply saying they were ok for rest of tyre life. They lasted over 30k miles/3yrs by changing around spare every couple of months. I changed all 5 for a set of Avons for cost reasons, £93 each compared with Primacy £140 each & the Avons are wearing just as well after 2yrs & look in much better shape. Not too impressed with Michelins & nor are people in the trade I have spoken to.
There should be a date stamp somewhere on the tyre, they reckon tyres should be replaced every five years regardless of remaining tread.
I wouldn't be happy running that with the cracks in the sidewall. All four were like that on my berlingo when I got it, there were changed straight away.
Somedays you're the pigeon, Somedays you're the statue.
Just had a new primacy 3 put on today for £133,the old one still had plenty of tread on but the puncture was to bad to repair. There was also cracks around the tread and the tyre guy said it was more age related than wear,as the car has only done 12000 miles in 5 years.
