Petrol Leak from Filler Cap

Noticed a whiff of petrol over the weekend and spotted a damp patch from the filler, took the fuel cap off and got a gush of petrol out of the filler neck followed by a slow trickle which didn't stop. No doubt affected by the slightly milder weather, it doesn't seem to affect the running of the car but I could do without it! :eek: The tank was full but not brimming over. Would suspect a blocked breather or some such but can't see anything obvious. Anyone had anything similar? Thanks, Ian
