rubber bulb for bleeding fuel system

I have berlingo 1.9 diesel 2005 .
I have a problem with air in the fuel system was told to squeeze the rubber bulb until goes hard to push further ,in my car doesn't go hard .do you think I need to change it and is it part of the housing or
separate part ?

There are two fuel primers, one is a rubber bulb which sits in the fuel line from the tank, the other is a push plunger which is part of the fuel filter housing. Depends what you have if you need to change the housing.
